June 15 at 1 p.m. SUMMER READING KICKOFF EVENT 

All are invited to our outdoor kickoff event! There will be outdoor activities and indoor scavenger hunts, yummy treats, and more! Register for the Summer Reading Program and receive a small incentive gift.

 

June 15-July 10 ARCHAEOLOGY DIG 

Teens and adults can join the Old Jailhouse Dig at the History Center across the street for a day dig! Space is limited. Contact Diane for more informtaion.

June 17, 6 p.m. DIGGING INTO RESEARCH 

Join Terri Fivash, author of the Dahveed books, as she shares how to dig into research. Research can not only make the settings and situations of stories live for the reader, but can, on occasion, be the foundation of the story from the very beginning. So, let's dig into research, how it's done, how to use it when you write, how to spot it in the stories you read, and why it matters.

July 1 at 6 p.m. FAMILY HEIRLOOM SHOW & TELL 

Do you have some special and/or unusual family heirlooms that you'd like to show off? Bring them to the library for a show and tell! Each person will have a table or portion of a table to present their heirloom and can tell visitors about it. If you don't have an heirloom you can show, please stop by to see what others have to share! Let's "unearth" those stories! Click to register for Heirloom Show & Tell. July 6 at 11 a.m. SENIOR MOMENT: VIRTUAL VACATION TO EGYPT 

For seniors and retirees, Come travel virtually to a land rich in history and archaeological wonders. Themed refreshments will be served.

 

July 8 at 6 p.m. GLASS MUSHROOM LAMP 

Create a mushroom lamp out of a vase, a bowl, and a puck light! Paint it with acrylics to make it unique! Space is limited to 10 people. Click to register for the Glass Mushroom Lamp Class

July 13 at 2 p.m. CRAFT CORNER: ROCK PAINTING 

Our patrons with special needs can enjoy the Unearth a Story theme by painting rocks with acrylic paint.

July 22 at 6 p.m. POTAWATOMI STORY SHARING 

Cecil Wilson, Historic Research Specialist from the Center of History & Culture at the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi, will be sharing the history and culture of our neighbors, the Potawatomi.

July 29 at 6 p.m. FOREST FLOOR PAINTING CLASS 

We will be painting a fun forest floor with acrylics on 12"x12" canvas. Space is limited to 12 people. Click to register for the Forest Floor Painting Class.

 

August 3 at 11 a.m. SENIOR MOMENTS: FIELD TRIP TO THE HORN 

For seniors and retiress, Join us for a guided tour of the Horn Archaeological Museum! So many stories to unearth here. Meet at the museum (9047 US Highway 31 in Berrien Springs - next to Apple Valley).
