Summer Reading Rules
- Books/audiobooks do not have to be from the Library's collection, but we would love it if they were.
- For each book/audiobook you complete you will need to submit one online reading log.
- There are three age groups: Birth through Pre-K, K through 2nd Grade, and 3rd through 5th Grade. Once you fill out the first page of the reading log, click NEXT until you find your age group, fill in the log and submit.
- Each picture book read you will earn 1 Library Dollar.
- If you read chapter books, you will earn 1 Library Dollar for every 20 (K-2nd) or 50 (3rd-5th) pages read.
- If you attend a virtual program or or use one of the Summer Reading Recordings on the Library's Facebook Page to complete a project you will earn 1 Library Dollar, but you MUST email a picture of you with the completed project to Sarah Simmons at [email protected] to earn the Library Dollar. You MUST also include your full name and age in the email.
- If you do not have a Facebook account and need access to the recordings, please email Sarah Simmons at [email protected]. She will send you a link.
- There will be prize drawings at the end of Summer Reading. For every 5 Library Dollars earned your name will be entered into the drawing.

Virtual Summer Reading Programs
This year's summer reading programs will be offered virtually. Each week, several videos will be posted to the Library's Facebook account. Once posted, the videos will remain up and accessible through August 14. For every virtual program you participate in you can earn one Library Dollar. To earn the Library Dollar you MUST send a picture of you with the completed project to Sarah Simmons at [email protected]. You MUST include your name and age in the email. Many of the projects are made from supplies that you have around the house or are inexpensive to purchase. There will be some craft projects for which the Library will provide the supplies. For these projects you will need to come to the Library to pick up the items.
